A Legacy of Service and Commitment in Action

 

President’s Greeting

It is my pleasure to serve as the current President of the National Association of University Women Inc. Philadelphia Branch. Our organization is dedicated to empowering Women, enhancing families, advocating for education and engaging in meaningful community service.

Our Philadelphia Branch proudly provides several scholarships to deserving high school seniors entering four year Colleges or Universities. In addition, we partner with local organizations, and schools to deliver essential community services such as:

  • Food distributions with the Mama T. Community Food Bank

  • Donating non- perishable food items to the HBCU Cheyney University Food Cupboard

  • Donating food, clothing, and mentoring to the Life Turning Point Women’s Shelter

  • Attending Career Days, and special programs at Local Public Schools.

Get Involved

NAUW Philadelphia Branch has sponsored outstanding programs to support scholarship giving.  For more than 65 years, NAUW Philadelphia has raised and distributed several hundred thousand dollars to academically talented high school graduates who are in need of financial aid as well as providing thousands of volunteer hours to support other needs of our community. Here's how you can get involved with NAUW:

Become a Member

Any woman holding a bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited college, university or scientific school listed by the United States Department of Education is eligible for membership. Women from other countries must hold a baccalaureate equivalent to a four year or higher degree in the United States from a certified accredited institution in their country or the country from which they received their degree.
